The easiest recipes are often the best ones. This sweet-and-simple caramel dipping sauce calls for just three ingredients and takes merely one minute to make. It couldn't get any more basic than that!
This sauce is surprisingly reminiscent of caramel. It's thick and luscious and ideal to dunk strawberries, grapes, banana slices, or other low-FODMAP fruits into. If you want to drizzle it over low-FODMAP vegan cake or brownies, gradually thin it with a very small amount of water until you reach the desired consistency. You can also increase the yield and use it as a frosting. And if you're simply in the mood for something sweet and comforting, enjoy it straight out of the bowl.
Peanut-Caramel Dipping Sauce
Makes 2 tablespoons
1 tablespoon creamy peanut butter
1 tablespoon pure maple syrup
1/8 teaspoon vanilla extract
Put all the ingredients in a very small bowl and stir until smooth and well combined. If the mixture is too thick, thin with a little water, 1/4 teaspoon at a time, to achieve the desired consistency.
