Use low-FODMAP frozen fruit and a few other key ingredients instead of ripe bananas, and you'll be on your way to smoothie heaven instantly. Here's one version to get you started. FROSTY NO-BANANA STRAWBERRY SMOOTHIE Makes 1 serving 1 cup vanilla almond milk, or 1/4 cup low-FODMAP vegan yogurt plus 1 cup water 1 cup frozen whole strawberries (about 10 strawberries) 1/4 cup frozen pineapple chunks (optional) 2 tablespoons quick-cooking rolled oats 4 teaspoons pure maple syrup 2 teaspoons almond butter 1/2 teaspoon vanilla extract (optional; omit if using vanilla almond milk or flavored yogurt) Put all the ingredients in a high-powered blender and process until smooth. Pour into a tall glass and serve at once. Chocophile Bonus: After blending, add 1 heaping tablespoon of dark chocolate chunks and pulse until they're finely chopped but not blended. *****
